Now how long does it take to train you into an electronic attack frigate? It requires 2 skills to V, and combine 2 different frigates and i bet you can make a vaga run.
You shouldn't need to train for a specific ship to stop them
This is seriously the dumbest post in this thread. Are you saying ALL ships should be able to counter nano-ships? Elaborate please. _____________________________________________________________________________

Wanting to nerf the ability to run away from fights is carebeary?
I fly a nano-Ishtar frequently (though not exclusively, because it isn't suitable for all situations), and I must say, I have never flown a combat ship simply because it has the ability to run away.
I fly the ship because it is difficult (but not impossible) to kill. The same reason a Megathron pilot, for example, might use all 7 lowslots for tanking. To make him hard (but not impossible) to kill. _____________________________________________________________________________

-A nanoship should never be able to do their full damage while using their MWD. The initial balance was that nanoships had to slow down to kill things, and were therefore left vulnerable while doing so, due to their flimsy nature. This makes for a separation between two different nanoships: The one that hold true to this principle (All minmatar ships) and those that do not (With the Ishtar as prime example).
I agree with you on most parts of your post, however, claiming that an Ishtar does "full" damage is a bit of a stretch. OK, yes, it doesn't lose any DPS over that of a non-nanoed Ishtar, however this does not mean that my DPS is in any way "overpowering"
Lets take a look at a typical encounter in my Ishtar: - I find a target on scan/ at a gate, wherever. - I hit my MWD and set to orbit at 15km. With my MWD on my inertia pushes me out to about a 20-22km orbit. - I launch my Ogres. They move in on the target and take about 15-20 seconds to actually reach the target. - If the target is smart, he primaries my drones , which pop fairly easily on approach to any guns with half decent tracking. 1 or 2 drones pop. If the target is not smart and doesn't shoot my drones, he's dumb and is going to/deserves to die. - I launch replacement drones. They take about 15-20 seconds to approach the target. If the target has a decent tank he tanks me while I'm launching new drones. If he has spare drones of his own he can keep popping my drones with relative ease. If he's firing missiles he can pop my drones with relative ease.
Basically, drone boats are the only ships who's main source of DPS can be directly attacked without the use of ECM (keeping in mind that in a year and a half of Eve, I've NEVER seen anybody use defender missiles). _____________________________________________________________________________

Originally by: Lord Frost PvP has turned into a speed game, and I can guarantee this is NOT what CCP visioned for a mainstream tactic.
Thats a pretty big guarantee. Do you work for CCP? Were you present when they were first brainstorming the concept of Eve-Online?
Also, if there is any truth to your claim, then why did they make ships which get built in bonuses to speed (Stabber and Vaga) as well as modules which have the sole purpose of increasing your speed? _____________________________________________________________________________

Yeah, that's right. The only thing that counters a vagabond is a 20 man gang.
TBH, I prefer this one. _____________________________________________________________________________
